That recommendation, "you have to reinstall Windows", can cause even more
grief than unstalling Microsoft Plus. There are no gurantees that the
windows reinstallation will not affect other software, and I suspect there is
no one willing to take on that kind of risk. (Otherwise, the usual warnings
and disclaimers would not be necessary.) Doing so can cause expenditure of a
considerable amount of time and money, and my understanding is that the PC is
a time and money saving device, not a time and money wasting device.
Consequently, that's not a acceptable response, and no one has come up with a
reason why uninstallling such software should be deliberately made difficult.
It should not matter whether the user has the distribution CD or if
something is broken in the uninstaller and the installer CD is unavailable.
I don't understand the justification for mandatory possession of an
installation CD inorder to perform an un-installation, or why reinstallation
of Windows is mandatory in this situation.
Again, back to the main thing, how do I uninstall Microsoft Plus, including
all its executables? I do not have the distribution CD.
