How do you totally remove Media player from Windows XP
Pro?
For security reasons we need to remove it from some
machines in our office.
I've already unistalled it using add/remove programs, but
the users are still able but to activate it simply by
putting in a CD.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Windows Media Player cannot be removed from Windows XP.
You can deny access to it by using Group Policy.

Delete the exe file.

wmplayer.exe

Course that may cause some strange error messages too (never know with
Windows)
