On opening a doc that was produced from scratch in our office, we are asked
if we want to disable or enable macros. (It only happens with docs produced
by one specific person.)

We don't want any macros in this doc. What do we need to do to stop the nag?

Regards,
Alan

Chances are that the person used something from the Controls Toolbox in the
document.

Try saving the document as .rtf, closing Word, restarting Word, opening the
rtf document and saving it as a Word file.
