I'm setting up a PC for my father, who lives alone. Is there any way to turn off the Log On window when starting up? He'll be the only user.

Hi John,

Click "Start", then "Run", and type (no quotes) "control userpasswords2" and hit OK. In the applet, uncheck the box "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Also, while in that applet, click on the "Advanced" tab at the top, and be sure the box "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete".
