Removing GUIDs

I am preparing a machine to take an image of for deployment. I plan on using
Sysprep to remove the SID prior to taking the image so it will create a new
SID when the PC is booted after imaging. Someone made mention to me that I
should remove GUIDs from the system also prior to imaging. Does Sysprep do
this also or is this done some other way?

I have not reviewed it for applicability to XP, but does apply to disk
duplication with sysprep

I have similar document for cloning XP. But unfortunately it doesn't answer
my question. I appreciate the help though.
