I have just installed Tiscali Broadband and I am unable
to get Outlook Express as my previous ISP Freeserve is
still providing Outlook Express, is there anyway around
this problem. Everytime I try to get a message I am told
I have failed to connect. I am new to PCs

The freeserve web site has some instructions here...(Print out these page
before you start)

http://www.freeserve.com/help/id/6109.htm

If you have a local expert who can help then these pages may also be of
interest (but not for beginners).

Note for the future: It is usually possible to setup your Internet
Connection and Outlook Express manually (eg without using the CD supplied by
the ISP). This method usually results in an installation that is easier to
change later (eg when you change ISP) and doesn't display their advertising.

That 'Provided by Freeserve' is really just advertising. What matters
is that in its Tools - Accounts you need to set up a new account for
Mail, and for News, to use the servers at Tiscali - they should have
advised you of the smtp and pop3 server names for the mail, and the news
one; and of the user name and password to use for it. You may also wish
to delete the old Freeserve accounts in due course, though you should
still be able to access the mail ones. Most ISPs provide a program to
run that does this automatically (and probably changes that advertising
header)
