Removing folder reference to nonexistent PST file.

In Outlook 2003, I previously created and used a secondary PST file for a
temporary purpose. I wanted to simply "Close" that temporary use PST file.
However, the file is still listed in the list of folders, and would not
respond to the "Close Data File" command. Deleting the secondary PST file had
no effect, and deleting the *.NK2 file had no effect. The old secondary file
is still listed, but there is no real PST file to open, so requests to
"Close" or "Remove" only return error messages. The secondary datafile is no
longer listed in the "Data File Management" dialog box. ScanPST.exe has no
effect.

Do I have to do something with the primary PST file, and/or the profile?

Thanks very much!

Create a new profile, yours is corrupt.
the nk2 file is the email address cache, not relevent to the pst.
