removing duplicate files

is it safe to delete the contents of the last good
configuration folder as i am trying to remove unecessary
files duplicates from my hd.

I wouldn't delete them. This folder's purpose is to store a fall back
configuration in case your system is unable to boot. The contents are
recycled each time you boot successfully.
