REMOVING DUPLICATE BACKUP REMINDERS

Candy

Hello,

I use Outlook 2007. I am getting duplicate reminders in my Outlook. The
duplicates are backup reminders. How do I stop the backup reminders from
appearing in the reminder popup window? That little window is so full that I
cannot see all of them at one time anymore. Where can I find a file that
holds all of my reminders so that I can easily edit and/or delete the ones I
no longer want?

You may think you’ve seem me write on this subject before. My posts do not
seem to be appearing in a timely manner. If anyone knows of some reason for
this, I’d appreciate the answer to that also.

Thanks in advance to whomever may be able to answer my questions.

What are 'backup reminders'? How are the reminders you are getting 'duplicates'?

There is no file for reminders. Reminders come from events within your message
stores (aka PST files, or possibly an OST if you're connecting to IMAP/Exchange/Hotmail
via Outlook Connector).

I'm going to bet that you're going to be able to solve this by exiting Outlook,
going to Start - Run and running outlook /cleanreminders

Don't use the web interface but use a news reader like Outlook Express instead.
http://www.insideoe.com/resources/communities.htm has steps on how to set
it up. The name of this group, for instance, is microsoft.public.outlook.
I would recommend adding a .invalid after your email address just to keep
spammers from easily catching it, or just signing up for an extra hotmail
account that you don't care if it gets spammed.
