removing domain want to move to workgroup

what are the downfalls to removing 2 winxp pro machines
from a domain to a workgroup. Putting in a new server and
was on winnt4.0 domain but with 2 computers don't think I
need the domain setup.

The user profile on these machines is tied to the domain
account. If you remove them from the domain the user name
and password are gone. Be sure you know a local admin
password for the machine. Any user related parameters are
also lost. Some can be comppies over from the old
profiles. There are too many differences between
workgroup and domain capabillities to list here.
