I'm using Word 97 and Windows 98. There is a text file I'm trying to view which
in some instances contains raw data. Whenever the ascii character 14 is
encountered, a new line is started with a "..........Column Break........."
inserted between the lines. Is there a quick and easy way to remove these
column breaks?

Thanks for your reply.

Try Find and Replace. Click on More, use the Special menu to enter the
character for a column break in the Find. Replace with nothing. Although
Word may not recognize them as column breaks, if they are from a raw text
file--but your description sounds like Word's column breaks.
