Removing attachnment file from messages to save disk space.

Does anyone knows how can I do it? of is it just not possible?
I have gigs of emails with big attachments that I've sent, some of them were
sent many times to different recipients so the attach is the same. There are
redundant megabytes that I'd like to strip from my disk. Is there a way to
keep the email body but remove the attachment file? also, when I send an
email with an attachment, is it possible to instruct outlook to send the
message but keep the email without the attach? in the old days I used Eudora
for email and it was easy as it just "linked" the attachments but didn't
store it.

Hi Edge,
Open the message, rightclick the attachement and click "Remove".

There are many tools at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.htm to help with this, if you don't want to do it manually.
