Dan

I had a website install a web search engine onto my machine
www.snsrch.net and everytime I restart my system it is
relaunched. Any way I can remove it from launching for
good? I am not sure where it is being launched from - it
is not in the Startup group.

Thanks,
Dan

A good place to start is in Administrative Tools, Computer Management.
Expand System Tools, then expand System Environment, then choose Startup
Programs. That will tell you what is starting, and from where it is
starting. You can also lift a copy of MSConfig from an XP system, or
download a copy from various web sites.

A good article, its name notwithstanding, is "Definition of the RunOnce Keys
in the Registry" at
<http://support.microsoft.com/?id=137367>
