removing an unwanted 3rd party Word utility

hi, I am using Office 2003 with all the latest OS and app service packs. I
recently opened a doc and it appears to have installed an application called
Format Gallery. I am very familiar with Word 2003 and this is not part of
the shipping app. There was no warning of an app install provided and the
macro security settings are the default "High."

I've checked the organizer to see if I have any macros/add-ins and there is
nothing there - pure vanilla as far as I know. I also deleted the normal.dot
to see if that would solve the issue... alas no luck.

I checked the startup, user templates, and tools folders and compared the
contents to a similarly configured computer without the problem and nothing
suspicious there as well. (NOTE - both are home PCs so there are no
workgroup templates being used).

Short of doing a system restore does anyone have any suggestions for how I
might be able to smoke this pest off of my system. Many thanks in advance.
