How would an entry on the Services list be manually removed?

If you mean, deleting a service, you'd do that in the registry. However, you
should uninstall the program that installed it...what is it you're trying to
do?

Delete the registry service subkey for it found in;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
