This is part of Gator spyware (collects data on your
browsing habits and sends info back to company so they can
spam you with adverts). It can be installed by software
such as AudioGalaxy, Kazaa etc.

This is known as "Trickler" and is a part of Gator. It can be removed
using Spybot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/)
or with AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/)
