Remove WindowsUpdate installation files

Hi all,
is there anyone who knows how to safly remove WU insatallation files and
directories (like C:\WINNT\$NtUninstallKB329115$) to free some space on
disk?
is it enough to delete them?

Thank you,
bye,
Mat.

Yes you can delete them if you want to and are sure that you won't want to
uninstall the updates in the future. However don't delete the /servicepacks/
folder (it's been a while and I'm not on a 2k box at the moment but I think
the name's the same) as you might need those files in the future. You can
just go ahead and remove the $NtUninstall******* folders/files if you want.

This link is all I have in my clipboard manager and is geared towards XP
specifically but is valid (though the names of your %WinDir% are different)
for 2k as well:
