Remove Windows VISTA from Dual Boot system

I am trying to find information out about removing Windows Vista Home Basic
off my machine, which dual boots between Windows XP Home SP2 and Vista RC1.
If I run XP System Recovery/BootFix/MBR will that take me back to my original
XP Boot menu, then I can reformat the partition that Vista is on? Or do I
need to do something from within side of Vista instead?

I installed the wrong beta copy of Vista, that is why I am asking.
