Here's the boot.ini :
[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect

Both on same HD ,partitioned into 2 .

The boot.ini file is shown only on the C: drive(Win2000) ,so do I move it to
the I: drive(WinXP) before,after,during or ???
Seem's that if I edit it on the C: drive ,then delete the folder ,that I've
rendered the system useless.
Enlighten me furthur.
And thank's for the response.
