Remove the codes, preserve the text

I have a large manual that I could only write to .pdf by breaking it down
into the 12 separate chapters. Now I have a separate title page and TOC. The
problem is that when I attempt to write that to .pdf it attempts to update
the TOC entries, and I get a "error! bookmark not found" message in place of
the page number.

How do I remove that page field but still preserve the page number so I can
write this document to .pdf? Thanks much

I know you're not Santa, but you have given me an early Christmas present.
Thanks much.

You could try locking the field (Ctrl+F11).

Glad I could help.
