Hello

I have imported an Access 2000 linked table into a
2002 Access file. How to we remove the link so we can
modify this table?

Thank you so very much.

You don't need to remove the link in order to modify the table. Simply
open the database in which the table resides, make the modifications
there, and the linked table will continue to point to the modified
"real" table.

To remove a linked table from a database, simply select the table in
the Tables window and delete it. This just deletes the link, not the
data in the table.

.

In my case the table also is deleted in the new database
and notjust unlinked. Any ideas why?

Was the actual data table deleted from the backend database? What
databases are involved, and what operations did you actually perform?
If the database was deleted, it's GONE and you'll need to restore it
from the backup; if you just have a missing link to an existing
backend table, you can use File... Get External Data... Link to
establish a link (you don't need the database splitter wizard).
