Remove sort icon in header

in a form in datasheet view there is a sort icon in the header. With small
columns with checkboxes I can not see the begin letter of the header title.
This has been changed in access 2007. Do i have to modify all my forms now?
or can i just remove this icon from the header? I am an experienced user with
much knowledge of vba. So if I have to write a piece of code, it's OK for me.

me.header.sort.visible = false

I recently asked the same question. Not only is it inappropriate for some
applications, but it also requires columns to be wider. The only way to turn
off that new 'feature' is to not allow a shortcut menu for the form.

Interesting solution. Thanks for sharing...

I will put this issue of no "easy" way to remove the combo drop downs in my
suggestion box for the access team....

Anyway....you answer is one possible solution. I wish if we specified a
"custom" shortcut, then the heading drop downs filter menu would also be
removed (they are not). However, this HINTS that we could ask for a option
to enable, or disable the drop down combos since simply setting the shortcut
menu turns them off.....

Albert,

I like that idea. Of course, being able to specify our own heading drop
downs would be really nice.
I recently had an Access 2007 support incident with a very knowledgeable
tech. We had a good conversation about 2007 and he asked me to send him my
'pet peeves' on it. Said that he would submit it to the team. The more
different avenues that the hear the same suggestions from, the more likely
that they will address them.
Let's hope :).
