Access 2007 Form Datasheet

Access 2007 datasheet view for forms has a dropdown in each column header
for sorting.
Is there any way to remove it?

Good question, i think it's by design so as far as I know there's now ay to
ger rid of that in datasheet view.

workaround for you and I have tried it. it works. however if the workaround
works depends on several elements. For example, the scenario; the software
enviroment. Since the issue is by-design, if the workaround doesn't work, I
will help to apply it to our dev team. and also we welcome you to send

I knew I saw something somewhere, but could not remember.
That will suffice in many instances, but sometimes I would like to be able
to use a custom shortcut menu.
Any way around that?

Jeff's solution works if I don't want ANY shortcut menu.
What if I want a custom shortcut menu, but not the one on the column header?

Access 2007 has some good new features. However, they are designed for the
'power user' and do not provide enough control for developers.
Many of us build applications for users that know little more than how to
use a mouse and keyboard, never mind filtering, sorting, queries, design,
etc.
We need a method of controling 'by design' features.

I guess the 'wish' part of the feedback link you provided refers to
'wishing' Microsoft would make it easy to provide feedback. Have you tried
it?

Thanks for the reply.
I sort of figured that would be the case. Hopefully, the dev team will open
their minds and try to include a bit more control for developers.

The link you provided, however, is useless. It offers to search the
discussion groups for my 'suggestion'. Then when it doesn't find it offers
to post it to the group - duh - that is where I started!

Hi AG,

No, unfortunately this is the only way to hide the sort/filter options on
the datasheet.

This issue has been discussed by the team.

After reviewing the post, I know that you have concerns on the mthod to
send feedback.

the linke is used for our customer to send feedback to us. if our customer
suggested the issue before, you will have t a "I Agree" to vote for a
feature in the site; otherwise, it is suggested to post the suggestion and
the nour dev team will follow up these suggestion and try to improve our
product in the future.
