Remove seconds from time

How would I go about removing seconds from time. Seconds
doesn't show in cell, but does in formula bar. Tried
changing Regional Options in Control Panel, but nothing
worked. I have been trying to merge an Excel spreadsheet
into a Word document and the seconds keep on showing up in
the Word doc. Help!

Have you tried the format for the cell? go to format menu---custom---on
Type textbox type hh:mm
