Remove music?

Hello,
I did a very dumb thing! I edited my movie at school, then put it on
my flash drive to bring home and finish. Without thinking it out, I added a
wma music file first. I figured I'd edit it more tonight at home. I got
home and imported my wmv file into Movie Maker. I totally forgot that the
music sound track at the bottom no longer shows up! Unfortunately, since I
did not take the time to shorten the song before saving to a wmv file, now
the music overlays the voices at the end. Is there a way to remove the
music without removing the voices? Thanks!

Maybe you can split the clip at the point where you don't want the music to
continue and mute that portion. If you've rendered the music track into the
clips, then you'll probably lose the voices. Not sure if this will help but
just a suggestion.

=======================
If you have a copy of the original
video with the voices...you can import it
and save it as a separate .wmv sound
file as follows:

===
In Windows Movie Maker 2.1....
To save only the audio track of a video clip...
drag the video to the "Audio/Music" track.
Then go to...File / Save Movie File / ect...ect......

This will result in a .wma audio file. Be sure
to drag the clip all the way to the left on the
timeline or you will have dead air at the
beginning.
===

Then you can reimport the .wma file and
add it to the project.
