Which toolbar are you referring to? If you mean Internet Explorer's, open Internet Explorer,
click the View menu, then Toolbars, then Customize. Then click Windows Messenger and then
click the '<- Remove' button.
If you mean in the taskbar (that is, the "toolbar which contains the Start button and clock),
you can remove Windows Messenger by opening it up (double-click the icon), click the Tools
menu, then Options, then Preferences tab, uncheck 'Run this program when Windows starts' and
click OK. Then right-click the icon again, and choose Exit.
