I downloaded a game for my nephew. He played it for
awhile and then did not like it anymore. I uninstalled
it thru add\remove programs. But the game icon still
appears in the start menu. I have Win XP Prof. I cannot
delete the icon from the start menu, document and
settings\all users, document and settings\adminstator
folders. It is a 0kb file and I get the message "Cannot
delete file:Cannot read from source file or disk." Can
antone please help me. It is very annoying

Reinstall the game and then deleate the icon then
uninstall it again.

1. Right click on the task bar-left click on properties.
2. Select the start menu tab-Select the customize button
for which ever type of start menu you are using.
3. Click on the Clear List button. This will clear the
start menu list.
As new programs are opened they will refill the list.

I don't remember where I downloaded it from.

The "clear list" does not remove it from the start/programs/games menu.
