remove HTML tags from MS word document

i submitted an assignment that posted with HTML tags. i did not use these
tags nor do i know how to use them. i need to know how to remove these tags
from my documents.
p.s. the tags are naot showing on original documents only on the submitted
copy.

I did. he asked if i was submitting using html. or doc. i have never used
html. i just learned what it is. i need to know how to make sure all
submissions are in doc. only.
