Insert a section break (Next page) at the end of the last page that must
contain a header. Go to the header on the next page (i.e. in the new
section). In the Header and Footer toolbar, first turn off “Same as
Previousâ€. Then delete the content from the header.

In case of Word 2007, the “Same as Previous†option is found on the Design
tab that appears when you are in the header or footer.

Lisa,

Insert a section break at the point at which you want the header to end,
unlink the header in the last section from the header in the previous
section, and then delete the content of the header in the last section. The
Word help topics should provide sufficient detail to assist you with this
process. However, if you run into problems post back.

Hi Lisa,

Depending on how your document is set up, you could:
1. Insert a 'Next Page' Section break at the end of the last page to be numbered, then go into the header for the next page, uncheck
the 'same as previous' option then delete the page # field; or
2. embed your existing header in a field coded along the lines of:
{IF{PAGE}> 100 "" "Existing Header"}
where '100' is the number of the last page on which the header is to appear.

Note: The field brace pairs (ie '{ }') for the last example are created via Ctrl-F9 - you can't simply type them or copy & paste
them from this message.

Insert a Next Page Section Break at the point where you want the pages
without the header to begin and access the header footer pane for that
Section, unlink it from the header in the previous section and then remove
the header from the present section.

Hope this helps.
