I wish to remove the games. In "add/remove programs/windows components" I
do not see utilities and accessories.
Thanks for your help.

Reference the following:

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 223182

Once you do the first part (Displaying the Items After
Setup is Finished), then you can go into Add/Remove
components and remove games and then reverse what you did
to the sysoc.inf file.

If you are referring to the games that are installed with Windows 2000, the Setup gives you the option to remove these. If you have opted not to remove them during setup they are installed as part of the Operating System. The only way to remove them at this point is to go to c:\WINNT and delete the executable for each game.

No problem. I was just at a class last week at a company
that supports us and the instructor gave us the KB article
on it and showed us the feature.

If you don't go that route, you can always deny your users
from running sol.exe, winmine.exe, etc in group policy.

Thanks to all.
I edited the file and was able to remove them from the "utilites and
accesories" list. I then deleted the executables.

One thing that is off subject that I noticed doing searches is that if you put a KB number in
the search, it will give you a ton of choices and may not give you the one you wanted, but if
you place "KB" before the number, it ONLY gives that one article.

I know I'm dumb, but there are folks that are a notch below me that really may find that
helpful. Sorry I screwed with you guys Thread.

good computing,
