remove from Pivot table items deleted in the source data sheet

Hi,
I deleted large amount of records from the data source, but the
corresponding items still show up in the drop-down list box of the row field
in the pivot table. Does anybody knows how to remove these items ?
I already tryed re-defining with the wizard the range of cells that contains
the records.

Simplest way is to remove that page field. Refresh data.
Then add it back again.

Just for your information in some pivot tables the "manual deletion" worked
well, but for others the only way to get rid of the deleted items was running
the suggested macro.

Did that work for you? I have the same problem and I did
this. Yes the items were removed but when I refresh my
pivot all the drop down arrows on the page bu field
disappear.
