remove files and folder in a directory

Hello All,
In win2k How can I remove files/folders/subfolders from within a directory
and still keep the root directory?
I have tried to use RD c:\test\*.* /S /Q but it also removes the directory
TEST. I would like to keep the folder and just delete all of the contents.
