I've installed windows xp home onto a laptop that previously had fedora
installed. I repartioned and reformatted it with BING, but the grub boot
loader still starts and offers a choice between xp and an unknown os. How do
I get rid of this boot loader so that the machine boots straight into xp?

Boot to the Recovery Console and use the Fixmbr command to dislodge the
GRUB loader from the MMR.
