remove f9 word count

From the disccussion group pages I found a way of of getting a word count/statistics etc. into a document. I was advised to put a short program betweem brackets (braces) using ctl f9. My problem is I cannot get rid of the function. Every time I print out a Word document I get an extra page with the document statistics on it. I only used this ctl f9 idea on one document but my computer now puts an extra statiastics page on every document I print. How can I turn it off? Hope someone can help me. Andrew.

You appear to have saved this field (probably a print field) in normal.dot
so it automatically becomes applied to all your documents. Renaming
normal.dot to oldnormal.dot would fix that. Alternatively open normal.dot
for editing (file > open) then toggle the field code display with ALT+F9,
delete the field, Toggle again then save and close normal.dot.

Also look at Tools > Options > Print, in the "Include with document"
area, and make sure the "Document properties" box is cleared.
