Remove Dual Boot

I cannot make F Active as it is marked as a Boot partition not as a Primary
Partition. "Mark Partition as Active" is not an option on the right-click
menu. I think the safest solution for me is to buy another Raptor C drive and
reinstall Vista as I then have the option of putting the old drive back if it
goes wrong. I had enormous problems getting QuickBooks working so I will wait
until the new Vista version is available.

Thanks for your help, I am surprised that Microsoft has no instructions on
how to go from a multiboot XP/Vista to Vista only as I would have thought a
normal route for an XP user is to first multiboot with Vista and then remove
XP.

Licensewise, most with XP use the upgrade version to save money, which
invalidates the XP license. Using XP as a dual boot then violates the EULA.
If you have the F partition as a logical drive within an extended partition
you would not be able to make it active. You can make any primary partition
active.
You can make it active from within XP when it certainly won't be the boot
drive, though that should not be necessary.
