remove DELETE BLOCK

Using Win 2000 MS WORD DOC When I try to delete some text
from a document using the delete button, I get this auto
response in the lower tool bar Delete Block? No (YES)?

I can only delete when I enter "Y" is there something in
the custom tools that is turning this auto block feature
on? If so How can I stop it so my delete button works
without this additional step
