Remove Blaster Clean Tool

T

Tom

Using "Add/Remove Programs" to remove the Tool (KB833330)
appears to delete the tool, but leaves a directory, that
can't easily be removed,
at "C:\windows\$NtUninstallKB833330$." Attempts to remove
it or access it are denied - it looks like it is in use.
Even after the drive is replaced as the boot drive moved
to a secondary position (D:\), the directory cannot be
accessed or removed, and blocks formatting the disk from
Windows. KB article 833330 talks about using xcacls to
gain NTFS permission, but as administrator, I already
have full permission. How to remove this?

Remove all check marks in the Folder\Properties\Advanced Options
also remove check in Read Only, go to Properties\Security Tab\and
grant Full Control permissions to the admin account... if your admin
account allready has full permissions, go to Advanced Options\Ownership
and take ownership... after this you should be able to delete the folder.

You cannot delete a File or a Folder on an NTFS file System Volume.
