Remove AD from domain

We have 2 Active Directory servers (1 server is the main
server and the other one was setup as a replica server).
Our main server is about to crash. How do we go about
making the relica server the only Active Directory Domain
Controller?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to your "primary" and run DCPromo.exe.

It will present you the option to "demote" ther server. Say yes.

Make sure all other services are accounted for (DNS, DHCP, etc.)

And remember about seizing FSMO roles, if this server holds any, to any
other avilable DC
