Remove a program

Someone or something has corrupted mt Quicken program. I want to remove the
program in its entirety from the computer and reinstall Quicken from the
disk. I go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Click on Quicken; the
progress bar moves about half-way across and stops. The program will not
remove. HELP!
