Remove 2000 Fax service

Does anyone know how to remove the 2000 Fax service on a Windows 2000 DC.
It isn't listed as a Windows component.

I am planning a 2003 AD upgrade and have read that I should remove the fax
service before upgrading.

Fax is Windows 2000 is part of OS & cannot be removed. Fax Service gets
enabled only upon detection of a fax modem by the system. To get to the
original state of machine, uninstall the fax modem & disable the Fax
Service.

1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative
Tools, and then click Services.

2. Right-click Fax Service, and then click Properties.

3. Under Startup Type, click Disabled, and then click OK.
