This is my first day using Windows Vista Business and I failed to find the
procedure for removal of unwanted programs, which appeared after I installed
Office 2003. How do I remove them permanently, since I do not know whether
deleting the programs will do the trick.

Control Panel - Programs..

If you're talking about Office "tools" installed with Office...

1. Open Control Panel
2. Under the "Programs" heading/link, click on the "Uninstall a program"
link
3. Right click on Office entry and select "Change" option.
4. That will kick off Office setup
5. Select Add or remove features.
6. Deselect features you don't want...

I'm going by what I see with Office 2007. It shouldn't be much different for
Office 2003. If you have other Office related questions, try the
microsoft.public.office.misc group. There may be a setup group too...
