Removal of folders

The whole files In one folder in my flash drive was corrupted.
All are in gibberish. But I was not able to delete the folder.
It seems that WinXP Pro does not recognize those gibberish files.
I even tried it with eraser. So far, none could remove the folder.
Does anybody know how to remove it? Jorge

Save the intact files/folders, then format the flash drive.
