removal of adware

I've scanned my computer and found through doxdesk.com that i have some sort
of a program that keeps producing pop ups. see description below:

Your browser appears to have the "AproposMedia/CxtPls" parasite installed.
This software can present you with unwanted advertising, compromise your
computer's security and invade your on-line privacy. It might have been
installed without your knowledge

I originally had 2 parasites and successfully removed one manually but
cannot seem to remove the second one. Im at my wits ends with the pop ups
that keep appearing on my computer. my computer has been running slower than
usual and is relatively new. i would appreciate any advice on removing these
softwares.

Thanks

Please download, install and update the following software...

Ad-aware SE v1.06
http://www.lavasoft.de/
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

SpyBot Search and Destroy v1.4
http://security.kolla.de/

After the software is updated, I suggest scanning the system in Safe Mode.

I also suggest downloading, installing and updating BHODemon for any Browser Helper Objects
that may be on the PC.

Try installing Microsoft's Free AntiSpyware. It detects 99.9% of the
spyware/adware that is out today. Run a full scan then choose to remove this
from your system.

Hope this helps...

You forgot to mention that Microsoft's Anti Spyware is Beta software.
Beta software may potentially produce negative consequences.

It still is good advice but please don't leave out that it is Beta software.

Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and remove ContextPlus.
Re-run scan to ensure it is gone.
