Removable Storage Solution?

Vincent

I work for a small software company that, some how, manages to use
hundreds of gigabytes in storage space. Our primary server is
currently replicated to a NAS in another part of the building. I
would like to begin storing this data offsite as well. What is a
reliable removable storage solution that I could utilize for such
purposes? It would need to accomodate vasts amount of data (up to
500gb). I'm not really familiar with the current removable storage
mediums. Is tape still the way to go, or has something supplanted
this solution? Thank you for your help.

I will recommend you should purchase external hard disk. Which you can
easily remove and use it on another computer. Also search for external
hard disk in any of those online stores.

1.Finditall online store

2. Tiger Direct

These days, 500 GB is a small amount of data. You could just buy
two 500 GB disks and two racks. Every week, put all your data on
the disk you have on-site, take it off-site and take the other
disk back with you.

Tape drives are expensive but tapes are lighter and not as
fragile as disks. For volumes in the tens of TB, tape may be
cheaper but for 500 GB, disks are cheaper and easier.
