Removable Storage Service will not start.

I have a scsi card with a scsi drive attached to a 2000 Professional machine.
I use the native backup utility to back up my machine. After doing several
windows updates I am no longer able to run the backup. When I try it says the
service isn't started. If I go to the Removable Storage Service and click
start, it says that it can't start but doesn't give an error.

Any suggestions. Thanks, Mike

you might have to plug the device in befor you start your computer up so it
finds it when it starts up. a pain but it works for me.

the device is already hooked up and been hooked, its been working for over a
year but since doing the windows updates it ceases functioning. Even with
the device unplugged the service will not start.
