Removable HDD not visible to Windows Explorer?

I am running Microsoft Windows XP Professional on a Pentium II with 128MB EDO RAM.

It was originally configured with a 20GB removable Hard Disk (on a mobile rack).

When I insert a 40GB drive from another computer, Control Panel can see the drive but Windows Explorer cannot.


I think it might be because of the Motherboard, but I'm not sure.

The Motherboard is PD440FX and the HDDs are Seagates IDE drives.
