REMOVABLE HARD DRIVE NOISE

I have a removable hard drive for photos and movies, During the use of the
drive there is no noise.
During a Windows XP....copy and paste or a copy to drive the Lacie hard
drive light flicks and makes noise.
Is the noise the start of trouble.

If it's just small clicks, it's normal. It might need to be defragged
though.
