Remount After Safe Remove?

Hi there. I have a Canon MP370 multifunction printer, with a built-in
memory card reader.
After I copy files to and from my CF card, I use the "Safely Remove
Hardware" thing, then I take out the CF card.

However, if I wish to use the CF card again, plugging it in does
nothing. Restarting the printer does nothing. I have to log out and log
back in to Windows to be able to use my CF card.

Is there a way (besides not using the Safely Remove Hardware thingy) to
"remount" the memory card drive?

Thanks in advance

I made a small mistake. Even if I log-out and log-in to Windows, I
still need to turn-off and turn-on the printer for it to mount the
Removable Drive in My Computer.

No, if an USB device is prepared for save removal there is
no way to get it back without replug it or reboot the system.
Maybe it's possible by directely programming the USB chipset
but I've never seen that someone did it...

The correct way to remove a card from a card reader is to
'eject' it. There is the 'Eject' item in the drive's context
menu in the Windows Explorer.
