Remote registery access

I cannot access the HKey_Local_Machine registery key from across the network

But can access The HKey_USERS hive remotely

I can also access all registery hives localy

The error is "error while opening key"

OS win2k server SP4
Exchange 5.5 SP4

I presumed that your "Remote Registry Service" is running. To access registry
remotely, is achieved thru WMI, and by far the best in obtaining information
remotely.

Make sure the WMI Service(Windows Management Instrumentation) is running as
well.

both services are runnning.

The program that is trying to access the remote registery is exchange 2003
setup.exe
