Remote Procedure Call

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me. I have been
having a problem where my computer will bring up a
message that states: Remote Procedure Call has terminated
unexpectedly, windows must restart. and then a timer
clicks down from one minute and then restarts my
computer. This has been occuring repeatedly and I was
wondering if someon knows how to either stop it all
together or at least prevent it from happening so often.

The fix for this has been out since August!Visit windows

update one in a while.

If you connected the PC to the Internet without having
first
installed the KB824146 Hotfix, without having first
installed an
antivirus application with current virus definition
files, and before
enabling a firewall, you're very likely to get infected
from any of
the thousands of PCs on the Internet that are constantly
broadcasting
the Blaster and/or Welchia worms. It only takes a few
seconds of
exposure.

To stay on-line long enough to get the necessary
updates, patches,
and removal tools, click Start > Run, and
enter "shutdown -a" when the
next RPC countdown begins. This will abort the shut
down. Also, make
sure you've enabled a firewall before starting, to
preclude any more
intrusions while getting the updates/patches/tools.

You been living under a rock for the past 6 months. You have the blaster
virus! It was only noted in most every newspaper known to man, along with
being on the radio and T.V. news casts!

Search through the news group for the past few weeks and find hundreds of
posts with removal instructions!
